COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Two people were shot at a home near East Mullan Avenue and South 19th Street in Coeur d’Alene early this morning.
According to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, a woman was out with a friend and returned to her home with the friend around 3:30 a.m.
The two were confronted by another man who also lived in the home.
An argument broke out and the man shot at the woman and her friend once, striking both of them.
The victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The man was detained at the scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police say there is no known threat to the public at this time.
