Idaho– UPDATE: Traffic on Highway 12 is open to 1 lane with a pilot car according to the Nez Perce County Sherrif’s Office Facebook.
Please expect delays, slow down, and follow directions from traffic control personnel as firefighting operations continue.
Part of Highway 12 is closed due to a fire between Lewiston and Orofino. According to the Nez Perce County Sherriff’s Office U.S Highway 12 is closed to traffic from mile marker 26-28 due to an active fire in the area. They don’t know when things will reopen.
The area starting at Amos Bench Road east to Mile Marker 28 on US Highway 12 is set to the “READY” evacuation level.
