OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. — Containment has grown on the almost 3,000 acre B and O Fire burning near Okanogan.
According to incident management, the fire is currently estimated to be 2,927 acres with 19% containment.
Crews strengthened containment lines, put out hot spots and worked to protect structures near the fire throughout the day.
Today, firefighters will continue to strengthen containment lines and increase mop-up efforts around structures and other high priority areas.
Road closures are still in place in parts of the fire area. If you have to drive through the area, incident management says to slow down and use caution.

The B and O Fire began on July 9. Investigators say the fire is human caused, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
