CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho — Highway 11 in Clearwater County is still closed for a wildfire burning near Greer.
According to the Idaho Department of Lands, infrared mapping done Saturday measured the fire to be about 354 acres with no containment.
Highway 11 is expected to stay closed throughout the day while firefighters work on the fire.
IDL says the fire didn’t grow too much on Saturday due to air suppression efforts. Crews will continue working on containment on Sunday.
IDL is asking people to please avoid the area and allow firefighters and equipment to operate safely. Do not fly drones near the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
