Post Falls, IDAHO — The U.S. Marshals Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force arrested a man wanted for domestic violence and three other individuals during an operation in Post Falls on Wednesday.
Johnny Levi Turcott, 37, was taken into custody after officers located him inside a shed near N. Idaho Road and 16th Avenue. Turcott was wanted by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office on charges of domestic battery and attempted strangulation.
When task force members ordered Turcott to surrender, he refused to comply. Officers deployed a canine. After his arrest, Turcott was transported to a local medical center before being booked into custody.
The Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force includes members from the Post Falls Police Department, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Idaho Department of Corrections and the U.S. Marshals Service.
While searching for Turcott, the Post Falls Police Department arrested three additional individuals. Scott J. Murray, 50, of Post Falls, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Aaron N. Mattes, 40, of Post Falls, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and harboring a fugitive. Kendra L. Martinez, 48, of Post Falls, was arrested for harboring a fugitive and obstruction.
