LEWISTON, Idaho — Firefighters have reached 75% containment on the Mile Marker 315 Fire burning along Highway 95 north of Lewiston, with full containment expected by the end of Wednesday.
The fire ignited Tuesday, June 16, at approximately 2:30 p.m. and has burned an estimated 108 acres in a steep, grassy canyon with areas of brush and timber. Crews halted the fire’s forward spread at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday.
No structures have been lost, and no evacuations or road closures are currently in effect.
Firefighting resources assigned to the blaze include four engines, one hand crew and one wildland fire module staffed by Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) and U.S. Forest Service personnel.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
