SPOKANE, Wash. – Five days away from their fourth-ever World Cup appearance, the Egyptian National Team held an open practice at Gonzaga University’s Luger Field.
Global superstar Mo Salah didn’t score any goals during the 11-on-11 scrimmage played for most of the training session, but he provided a sweet dribble move and assist.
The Pharaohs have never won a World Cup game, most recently qualifying in 2018 and dropping all three matches. They’re in Group G this tournament, alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
Egypt opens World Cup play against Belgium in Seattle on June 15 at 12:00 p.m.
