CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department is launching a stabilization project on State Highway 11 near Orofino.
Crews will construct a soil nail wall anchored into the hillside to hold the soil in place. They will also remove and replace a portion of the roadway bed with material that drains water more effectively.
SH-11 will be reduced to one lane with a 24-hour temporary traffic signal starting today.
Idaho Transportation Department says drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes.
Construction is anticipated to continue through mid-February 2027.
