NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – The New York Knicks shocked the San Antonio Spurs with an NBA playoff record-breaking 29-point comeback to take a 3-1 Finals lead.
New York rallied after San Antonio set an NBA record with 14 three-pointers in the first half. The Knicks hit twice as many three-pointers as the Spurs hit total shots in the fourth quarter.
San Antonio’s 46-point decrease from the first to the second half (76 points to 30 points) is the largest single-game falloff of any playoff game across the last 70 years.
OG Anunoby hit the game-winner on a tip-in with 1.2 seconds to go, and he finished the game with 22 points. New York’s Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 36 points.
Game 5 returns to Texas on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
