REARDAN, Wash — Reardan-Edwall schools have a two-hour delay on Tuesday morning due to a widespread power outage impacting hundreds of people.
According to Lincoln County Fire District 4, this outage stemmed from a utility pole fire early Tuesday morning.
It happened just before 5 a.m. and occurred in the 800 block of Broadway Avenue in Reardan.
The fire is out, and the situation has been handed over to Avista.
Avista crews have had to shut off power while working on the pole.
According to the Avista website, 627 people are without power as of 6 a.m.
The estimated time of power restoration is 8:45 a.m.
