COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Coeur d’Alene Police Department and the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department are investigating a suspicious fire that happened at a home under construction Saturday morning.
According to Coeur d’Alene Police, someone living near Valentin Drive reported the fire around 5 a.m. this morning.
Police say the person was preparing for work when they heard a popping sound and saw a glow coming from inside a framed house under construction.
Fire crews showed up and were able to put out the fire quickly, limiting the damage to the inside of the house.
Investigators found what looked like a pile of construction debris inside the home that looked to have been intentionally lit.
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department is asking people in the area to check video surveillance for suspicious activity.
