SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane is offering property owners a free solar-powered, motion-detecting residential light through a new community safety initiative.
The Spokane Safe and Bright Residential Light program is designed to help residents illuminate commonly dark areas in their neighborhoods, including alleys, sidewalks and public walking spaces.
City officials said the program aims to improve visibility and safety in residential areas by providing the lights at no cost to qualifying property owners.
