LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Washington State Cougars (12-18, 7-10) dropped a painful one-point heartbreaker to the LMU Lions (15-15, 6-11), 67-66.
The Cougs led for 93% of the game and outshot the Lions from the field and from three, but they suffered 17 turnovers and poor defense in the final few minutes.
LMU’s Myron Amey Jr. scored 31 points, six rebounds and five assists in a career night.
Wazzu wraps up the regular season at the Pepperdine Waves this Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
