SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Men’s Basketball Team joined 22 other teams with a new ranking in Monday morning’s new AP poll.
The Zags are now the 8th ranked team in the nation, following wins at WSU and Seattle U.
With WCC play continuing this week, the biggest questions will be around the Zags frontcourt. Braden Huff suffered a knee injury in practice last week with a timeline of 4-8 weeks to return. Graham Ike was in a walking boot and sat out of Saturday’s game against Seattle University with right ankle soreness.
Gonzaga hosts Pepperdine on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and San Francisco Saturday at 5 p.m.
Arizona remains the top-ranked team in the country, followed by UConn, Michigan, Purdue, and Duke.
Iowa State fell to #9 behind the Zags after a long run in the top 5. The Cyclones lost to Kansas and Cincinnati on the road last week.
