AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — A 15-year-old was arrested and police are still searching for another suspect following a SWAT standoff in Airway Heights Friday night.
According to the Airway Heights Police Department, 37-year-old Rudy G. Parsons and his 15-year-old son were wanted for a burglary that happened at a business on South Garfield Road on Jan. 14. Parsons fled from the scene of the burglary before police could arrive.
On Friday evening, Airway Heights Police learned that Parsons may be at a home on South Lawson Street. Officers went out to the location and learned that Parsons was believed to be inside and possibly armed with a rifle.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and other resources were then called out to help.
After several hours, the SWAT Team was able to enter the home, but Parsons was not located. The officers did contact Parsons’ 15-year-old son at the scene and took him into custody.
The teen was booked into Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.
