Rihards Vavers led WSU with 17 points off five made three-pointers, and Ace Glass dropped 16, including the clutch go-ahead and-one shot.
Wazzu shot above 50% from the field, 40% from three and 90% from the free throw line in one of the best shooting games of the season.
Each team led exactly 49% of the game.
The Cougs next visit Spokane Arena to play the Oregon State Beavers this Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
