SANDPOINT, Idaho — A Sandpoint man was killed after crashing into a train just north of Sandpoint on Sunday afternoon.
According to Idaho State Police, the 63-year-old man was driving west on West Selle Road around 2 p.m. when he hit a northbound moving train.
The man’s truck was pushed a short distance off the road. The train initiated its brakes and came to a stop.
ISP said the man was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene from his injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
