SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs (6-5) fell in a heartbreaker to the Arizona State Sun Devils (13-0), 68-66 after a missed Allie Turner three-pointer at the buzzer.
Arizona State’s Last-Tear Poa committed a technical foul on Ines Bettencourt inside three seconds in the game, giving Gonzaga two free throws and the ball.
The Zags made the game close despite 26 turnovers and poor shooting through the first half. GU shot an impressive 61.5% from the field in the fourth quarter, but the comeback would not be enough.
Gonzaga’s three home losses match their season total from 2024-25.
The Zags next hit the road to close their non-conference slate, next playing at Missouri State this Friday, then at UC Riverside this Sunday.
