SPOKANE, Wash – People hoping to win Christmas trees and associated gifts from this year’s Christmas Tree Elegance broke records again, buying more than half a million raffle tickets.
Spokane Symphony Associates announced the benefit sold 546,043 tickets, surpassing last year’s record by more than 20,000.
“After 43 years, I am thrilled that this event continues to grow each year, which in turn supports our fabulous Symphony,” said Christmas Tree Elegance Co-Chair Kris Lamberson. “I am very proud of the community support that allows us to help our Symphony thrive.”
Hopefuls bought $1 raffle tickets hoping to win one of 16 trees, on display again this year at the Historic Davenport Hotel and Riverpark Square.
Winners were drawn and notified Sunday.
