SPOKANE, Wash. — A water main break disrupted traffic and water service in downtown Spokane on Monday, forcing street closures and reducing water pressure for nearby buildings.The break occurred on South Washington Street between West 8th and West 6th avenues, according to the City of Spokane.A detour is in place from West 8th Avenue and Bernard Street to West 6th Avenue.Water distribution has been minimized during repairs, causing temporary low water pressure for surrounding buildings.Local access to nearby properties is being maintained.No estimated time for reopening the street was available, city officials said.
