SPOKANE, WASH. – A local nonprofit is making a big difference for young people who often have the least — kids in foster care, youth experiencing homelessness, and families struggling to afford the basics.
It’s Teen and Kid Closet, and for years, they’ve provided children something many take for granted: clothes that fit, that they can choose themselves, and the confidence that comes with that.
Executive Director Jessica Southwick says the organization’s goal is simple: to make sure every child feels seen and cared for.
Right now, T-K-C is especially in need of boys’ clothing and winter coats, from toddlers all the way up to young adults. Southwick emphasizes that community support is what allows the nonprofit to continue making a difference.
If you want to help, donations can be dropped off on the first Saturday of every month at their location, 307 East Sprague Avenue, or at any First Interstate Bank.
Additionally, Teen and Kid Closet has been selected for the Giving Machine at the Spokane Valley Mall food court on December 12th, giving the community another opportunity to make a direct impact and help local kids get the essentials they need this holiday season.
