OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss has named Todd Shulenberger as the fourth head women’s soccer coach in program history, Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Keith Carter announced.
Shulenberger arrives after 11 seasons at Washington State, where he became the Cougars’ winningest coach with a 113-67-34 record. He led Washington State to its first College Cup appearance in 2019 and five NCAA Tournament appearances.
“We are thrilled to welcome Todd and his family to Oxford,” Carter said. “Todd is a culture-builder who invests deeply in the success and well-being of his student-athletes on and off the field.”
His most successful season came in 2019 when Washington State reached the College Cup for the first time, defeating top-seeded Virginia and second-seeded South Carolina. The Cougars finished ranked fourth nationally.
Shulenberger developed 43 All-Conference athletes and saw 10 players drafted into professional leagues, including Morgan Weaver, who was drafted second overall by the Portland Thorns.
“Ole Miss Athletics has a winning tradition across all sports, and my goal is to get soccer back to its winning ways,” Shulenberger said.
Before Washington State, he served as associate head coach at Texas Tech and assistant coach at Missouri, where the Tigers won their first Big 12 regular season title in 2009.
