SPOKANE, Wash. — Step into a magical story at A.M. Cannon Park next month.
The Spokane Parks Foundation and the Finding Human Project are hosting Once Upon a Park: A Creative Walk on September 6 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Inspired by the Hero’s Journey, this program will allow people to journey through the park, learn to be a musical storyteller, make your own power-up rock totem and help build a community chalk mural.
Story guides will walk with people through the park and offer a story prompt at various stops. Participants will then be urged to finish the story and an artist will created art based off the shared stories.
Adults and children are welcome.
Participants will be given a free workbook to take home for sketches, notes and written stories.
