LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — Evacuations are still in place as firefighters continue working to control the wildfire burning on the border of Lincoln and Spokane Counties on Sunday afternoon.
As of 12 p.m. on August 17, the Crescent Road Fire is burning on roughly 892 acres between Crescent Road and Devil’s Gap Road at the northeast corner of Lincoln County and western edge of Spokane County.
Department of Natural Resources said the fire is currently 18% contained.
On Saturday, light morning rain helped keep fire activity low, giving firefighters better conditions to work inside the fire line and mop up hot spots.
Fire along the bluffs near Willow Wind Organic Farms is still active and inaccessible to crews.
On Sunday, seven miles of hose is being installed around the fire to help with suppression.
Level 3 (GO NOW), Level 2 (GET SET) and Level 1 (BE READY) evacuations are all in place as of Sunday afternoon.
