BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — Reservations will reopen for Green Bay Campground on Lake Pend Oreille this Friday.
The campground closed last year for renovations. These included expanding the campground from 12 sites to 17 sites, adding a campground host site, putting in more vault toilets, expanding parking and doing road improvements.
It is located about 17 miles southeast of Sandpoint and offers stunning views of Lake Pend Oreille.
The online reservation system will open starting at 7 a.m. on Friday. The first reservation date will be August 1. Until then, the Forest Service says all sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations end on September 27.
