SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) released the name of the deputy involved in a law enforcement-involved shooting on Sunday.
Deputy K. Felix has been with the sheriff’s office since 2023.
SCSO said Deputy Felix fired his weapon while responding to Sunday’s deadly carjacking spree. Investigators have not released the names of other law enforcement officers who fired their weapons or who fired the fatal shot.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says the victim in an interstate carjacking spree was shot multiple times.
According to KCSO, Ryan Tietsort was suspected of shooting and killing Gary Hill during an attempted carjacking in Stateline Village.
The incident occurred Sunday morning where law enforcement say Tietsort carjacked multiple people between Spokane Valley and State Line Village.
Tietsort was eventually shot and killed by police in Spokane Valley.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner says 43-year-old Tietsort died of gunshot wounds to the head and neck.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Hill’s murder while the Spokane incident Investigative Response Team (SIIR) is investigating the carjackings and Tietsort’s death.
