SPOKANE, Wash. — Avista announced Friday that Spokane River recreation will resume Monday between the Spokane Street Bridge and Post Falls Dam as summer operations begin at the hydroelectric facility.
The Post Falls boat launch and swim beach at Q’emiln Park will also reopen Monday.
Summer operations are expected to continue through Labor Day, weather permitting. Avista warns that water levels can change at any time and urges caution.
During high water flow periods, the boat launch, swim beach and river area may temporarily close. Avista will notify boaters and post closure signs when necessary.
Water flow information is available at myavista.com/waterflow and through Avista’s 24-hour information line (800) 227-9187.
