CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — It’s been a week since the manhunt began for the father accused of killing his three daughters in Chelan County, and the medical examiner has determined their official causes of death.
According to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, 9-year-old Paityn, 8-year-old Evelyn, and 5-year-old Olivia Decker died of suffocation and the manner was homicide.
In an update from the sheriff’s office, a large amount of evidence was seized from Decker’s truck where it was found abandoned.
Some of the things seized included Decker’s dog which was turned over to the Human Society.
CCSO says blood samples were taken from the vehicle with one sample being from a male and one sample being non-human. Fingerprints and other DNA samples are still being analyzed.
Federal authorities have taken over the search efforts for Decker so local resources can rest.
Anyone with information on Decker’s location is asked to call 911 and not approach him.
