SPOKANE, Wash. — If your child is a high school student interested in exploring a career in the trades, check out this weekend’s Spokane Home Builders Association event!
On May 17, SHBA, through it’s ‘Frame Your Future’ initiative, will host its annual Construction Camp.
The event gives high school juniors and seniors hands-on experience in the skilled trades as they work with industry professionals to build five fully-functional garden sheds.
“Students will gain insights into various construction fields, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing, while learning teamwork, safety and technical skills,” reads an SHBA press release.
The event will take place at East Valley High School (15711 E. Wellesley Ave) from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
