SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man accused of setting fire to a house in Spokane Valley early Saturday morning, according to Spokane Valley Fire Department.
Around 3 a.m. on April 26, SVFD and Spokane Fire Department responded to a call about a house on fire near 4th Avenue and Coleman Road in Spokane Valley.
When crews arrived, they found the house engulfed in flames, but were able to knock it down quickly.
SVFD said multiple other fires were found in the area and caused damage to several properties.
Spokane Valley Police Department deputies arrested a suspect at the scene of the house fire.
The suspect was booked into Spokane County Jail on multiple charges related to the fire.
The house is considered a total loss and the Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.
As of Sunday afternoon, SVFD is still investigating the case.
