WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — State troopers arrested a man for driving under the influence and causing a car crash nine miles south of Rosalia on Saturday night, according to Washington State Patrol.
Around 8:45 p.m. on April 26, WSP responded to a crash between a Ford pickup truck and a Chevy pickup truck near Ralph Henning Road and State Route 195, about 40 miles south of Spokane.
According to WSP, 31-year-old Riley P. Maley of Thornton, Washington, was driving his Ford pickup eastbound on Ralph Henning Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at the SR-195 intersection.
Because Maley did not stop, a Chevy pickup, traveling southbound on 195, crashed into the Ford.
Maley drove off and the Chevy came to rest against the guardrail on SR-195.
After a brief search, WSP found the Ford and arrested Maley.
He was charged with felony hit-and-run, DUI and vehicular assault.
The driver of the Chevy was transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
