OTHELLO, Wash. — An Othello man suspected of causing a hit-and-run accident was arrested Friday evening.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, calls came in around 8:40 p.m. that 57-year-old Juan Garcia Galvan of Othello was responsible for a hit-and-run accident on South Blue Bird Lane.
Deputies responded to the area where the caller said Galvan fled and found Galvan’s vehicle near W SR 26.
Deputies tried to stop Galvan, but he refused and continued driving.
The sheriff’s office said it was finally able to stop Galvan thanks to a PIT maneuver.
Galvan was arrested and booked into jail for suspicion of driving under the influence and failing to obey law enforcement.
