KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend in Post Falls pleaded not guilty Thursday morning.
Court documents reveal, 47-year-old Jason Rook was caught on Ring doorbell footage entering the home on Dorado Avenue around 5 a.m. the day of the murder.
Rook shot 46-year-old Nathan Rogers multiple times, killing him. Rogers was the owner of Inland Kava Bar in Coeur d’Alene.
Law enforcement says Rook dated Rogers’ girlfriend for around a year in 2023 before the couple separated due to drug use. The ex-girlfriend said Rook had been harassing her before the murder.
Rook pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder, burglary and stalking.
A jury trial is set to begin in September.
