SPOKANE, Wash. — Over 30 local artists made their way to the Spokane Woman’s Club Saturday afternoon to showcase their work at the 33 Artist Market.
The event showcased all different kinds of art from pottery to paintings to clothing.
Event organizers say around 125 artists applied for a spot and only 33 were selected to take part in this unique and perfectly curated market.
“A lot of the time we have a mixture of new to our market, emerging artists who have never shown, established artist and veteran. So it’s like a mixture and each show is completely different,” said 33 Artist Market founder Gwyn Pevonka. “You might see some names that you have seen around 33 Artist Market before, but I’m also going to bring you a complete new group of artists that you maybe have never seen before. It’s always a new experience each time.”
33 Artist Market hosts several events throughout the year. The next art show is scheduled for this summer and will be double the size of Saturday’s show.
