MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs women’s basketball team ended their season tonight with an 82-77 overtime loss at the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the WBIT Quarterfinals.
The loss came after Gonzaga overcame a nine-point first-quarter deficit and led nearly all of the second and third quarters. The Gophers outscored the Zags 32-21 in the fourth quarter and overtime, helped by 35 points from Amaya Battle.
Yvonne Ejim put up huge numbers in her final game: 27 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and just one turnover. Ines Bettencourt provided a spark off the bench with 13 points and six assists.
Gonzaga ends their year at 24-11, 11-4 on the road.
