Watch parties all across Spokane had fans celebrating the big win.
Decked out in blue and red, college-aged Zags fans stood shoulder-to-shoulder to watch the game at Spokane staple, Logan Tavern.
“It feels amazing, just having an opportunity, growing up watching March Madness and to be in this environment and to be a senior, it’s just a great day to be here – a great day,” said one GU senior.
At St. Aloysius, some of the youngest Gonzaga fans cheered on their favorite team as they packed meals for people in need.
They swapped out of the regular school uniforms for Zags gear before tipoff.
“We love them so much and I hope they keep winning,” said 1st grader, Emilia.
The excitement continued Thursday evening with the Women’s Basketball Team taking on USTA in the Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament at the Kennel.
The Gonzaga Men will face off against Houston in their next round of the NCAA Tournament.
