BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — A skier triggered an avalanche near Schweitzer over the weekend, and the Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center is warning of continuing avalanche danger in the Selkirk Mountains.
According to the center, a skier accidently triggered a large avalanche north of Schweitzer Sunday. The individual was able to escape safely.
The Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center says considerable avalanche danger remains Monday in the Selkirks until Tuesday morning.
