SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’re looking for some holiday decor, check out the Spokane Community College’s annual Poinsettia Open House on Friday.
On November 22 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Spokane Community College’s Greenhouse students will sell 30 different varieties of poinsettias ranging in price from $5-$7.
All proceeds go toward supporting SCC’s Greenhouse Program.
The students have been growing the poinsettias since the summer.
“I’m just really happy that I was able to be a part of something that people really enjoy. There were people lined up outside this morning, so it was really exciting to be able to share this. We all worked really hard on it. There were some stressful parts, for sure, but it was just really fun to get to work together and grow these plants,” said second-year Greenhouse student, Xiamara Tueth.
