You may see more Washington State Patrol troopers on the roads through the end of the month.
WSP will be conducting emphasis patrols starting November 21 as Washington State University students begin to travel across the state for Thanksgiving break.
Troopers in Spokane, Whitman, Adams, Kittitas, and Grant counties will be on patrol cracking down on drivers speeding, too fast for conditions, or driving under the influence.
WSP says its efforts will be focused on State Route 26.
The emphasis patrol will conclude on December 1.
