SPOKANE, Wash. — Mark Peterson and the 4 News Now Extreme Team are working this week to help two United States Navy (USN) veterans prepare their homes before winter.
On Tuesday, the Extreme Team began working on the home of USN veteran John Spurgin, who served the Navy from 1974-1978.
However, it has been a tough year for Spurgin. His Leukemia came out of remission, and his wife almost died from blood clots in her lungs.
All of these complications have made it difficult for either of them to upkeep around the house.
Band Construction, Rodda Paint, Horizon Credit Union Volunteers, and Avista are donating time and resources to help prepare Spurgin’s home for winter.
Watch 4 News Now at 6 on Tuesday to see the changes made to Spurgin’s home.
