COEUR D'ALENE SCHOOL DISTRICT LEVY
Voters in Kootenai County are so far passing a $25 million dollar replacement levy for Coeur d’Alene Schools.
The levy is a continuation of what is currently in place and provides 25% of the cost to maintain services not covered by the state. It covers salaries, extracurriculars, student safety and special programs.
The current levy costs homeowners $93 per $100,000 of assessed value. The district says the levy rate is unlikely to change.
As of 10:55 p.m. on election night, 58.67% of voters want to pass the levy while 41.33% are voting to reject it.
