OLYMPIA, Wash – Voters in Washington are, so far, choosing Bob Ferguson to serve as the state’s next governor.
As of 8:43 p.m. on election night, 56.6% of Washington voters have chosen current attorney general and former congressman Bob Ferguson over King County sheriff Dave Reichert.
The winner will replace Governor Jay Inslee, who has served as governor since 2013.
Inslee chose not to run for re-election.
Washington vote totals will change in the coming days, as elections officials across Washington count ballots.
The Secretary of State has until December 5th to certify the election.
