SEATTLE, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks’ (4-4) offensive inefficiencies doomed them to a 34-17 home loss to the Chicago Bears (6-2).
Seattle converted just one of 11 third downs and one of four red zone drives. The Seahawks punted on four of their first five drives, and the fourth quarter witnessed a missed field goal, an interception, and a turnover on downs.
Despite the three-score loss, Seattle had a shot after a forced fumble and subsequent touchdown, shortening the deficit to three. Seattle’s defense then allowed consecutive touchdown drives to put the game out of reach.
The Seahawks next try to get back above .500 when they host former Washington State star Gardner Minshew and the Arizona Cardinals next Saturday at 1:25 p.m.
