Expect a cool and unsettled pattern through the weekend with light mountain snow on Friday and a chance for light rain showers at points this weekend.
Friday will be mostly cloudy and calm with highs in the low 50s and upper 40s. Light snow is expected along the east slopes of the Cascades above 3000 feet, though accumulations will stay under half an inch. Most areas will remain dry with light winds, but a few showers are possible in north-central Idaho late today.
The next chance for wet weather arrives late Saturday night into Sunday. Expect a 20 to 50 percent chance of light rain primarily for Southeast Washington and the southern Idaho Panhandle, with rainfall amounts generally under a tenth of an inch. This will interrupt Halloween evening festivities around Lewiston, Pullman, Moscow, and the Tri-Cities with light rain. Showers are likely to hold off for Spokane and Coeur dβAlene until late Saturday evening.
Donβt forget to turn back your manual clocks one hour on Sunday. Weβll enjoy some extra sleep and clearing skies on Sunday. Temperatures will be a little cooler to start next week before a small warming trend bring us to the mid 50s by next Wednesday.
