POCATELLO, Idaho – Federal prosecutors in Idaho have charged two Canadian citizens with unlawfully voting in the 2022 general election.
The Department of Justice announced charges Tuesday against Taralynn Kathleen Bosco, 48, and Stanley Richard Walton, 82.
Prosecutors say Bosco was living in Rexburg at the time, but was not a U.S. citizen.
Walton currently lives in Chubbuck. The release is not clear about where he lived when he voted.
Court filings don’t share any additional light on what led to federal prosecutors filing a case now, four years after that election.
Bosco and Walton are charged with illegal voting by aliens. Each faces a fine of up to $100,000 and up to one year in prison.
They’re scheduled to be in court for initial appearances on October 26th.
