SPOKANE — The Spokane County Interstate Fair is celebrating a milestone this year. Now in its 75th year, organizers are calling it the biggest fair yet as they honor both America’s 250th anniversary and the fair’s own history.
The fair runs through September 20th with hours varying by day.

The fair features classic attractions including carnival rides, fair food and livestock exhibits that showcase the region’s agricultural heritage. The grandstand entertainment lineup is packed with events throughout the fair’s run.
A special part of this year’s celebration involves the fair’s mascot, Clover, a Highland cow. Clover carries forward the legacy of Cedar, the fair’s first mascot in a long time.
“This is Cedar’s first calf. Cedar was the first mascot for the fair in a really long time. She sadly passed unexpectedly but we still have a little cedar in clover here,” said Derek Smith owner of Dalkena Highlands, the ranch Clover calls home.
Organizers emphasize that the event celebrates the traditions and community spirit that have made county fairs a cornerstone of American life for generations.
Whether attending for the animals, the rides, the food, or the entertainment, the Spokane County Interstate Fair said the fair provides a full day of family-friendly activities.
Bring a new or gently used coat to the fair Sunday September 20th and you can get free admission for someone 17 and under. The coat will go to the 4 News Now Coats 4 Kids program.
