The Inland Northwest continues to sit in a soup of smoke while a heat advisory goes into effect this afternoon.

High temperatures on Tuesday will reach the 90s, with some parts of the Columbia Basin and L-C Valley getting close to 100 degrees even with the smoke in our skies. A Heat Advisory begins today and will last through Thursday. Expect more smoky skies through the day and overnight as well. Air Quality Advisories remain in effect. Limit your time outside if you are sensitive to wildfire smoke.
What We’re Tracking
Wednesday brings even hotter conditions with highs in the upper 90s and low 100s. Wednesday night and Thursday, a chance of thunderstorms develops, potentially producing strong wind gusts and more lightning-started fires. Combined with breezy winds and humidity below 20 percent, critical fire weather conditions are expected through at least Saturday. It’s also possible that more smoke could enter our area from fires upwind of us in Oregon.
