PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State men’s basketball has picked up its first commitment for the 2027 recruiting cycle, as three-star guard Jaylen McLaughlin announced his pledge to the Cougars on Monday.
The Bothell native is listed at 6-foot-3, 160 pounds and chose WSU over offers from Arkansas State, Eastern Washington, Toledo and Cal State Fullerton.
McLaughlin becomes the first player to join Washington State’s 2027 recruiting class, giving the Cougars an early addition from one of the state’s top high school prospects. His commitment continues WSU’s effort to keep talented in-state players in Pullman as the program builds for the future.
