The timing of Jumalon’s remarkable run is striking. Just weeks after graduating from college, the Spokane native now has the opportunity to win poker’s most prestigious tournament and claim the $10 million first prize.

Jumalon has progressed from watching the World Series of Poker on television as a young player to becoming the favorite to capture the game’s biggest title.
