SPOKANE, Wash. – In a shocking offseason move, star Gonzaga guard Mario Saint-Supery signs a four-year deal with Valencia Basket in Spain, ending his time in Spokane.
Saint-Supery played 35 games for the Zags, scoring 8.6 points per game, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. He topped the 20-point mark twice, once at Seattle U and the other to close the regular season against Santa Clara, both games he helped win.
The Spaniard came to Gonzaga at the end of June 2025 as a freshman, and he was expected to carve out a significant starting role in the 2026-27 season.
Now, Gonzaga turns to extra help needed at the point guard position, as GU now relies on a potential Nathan De Sousa addition, possibly reclassifying 2027 freshman Dooney Johnson, or returning to the transfer portal.
